Our food needs to be free of exploitation.

But this requires us to pick apart the system and put it back together – with the rights of migrant workers at its heart.

There are over two million of them working in European agriculture. They are an essential part of our food system. But this work often leads them into modern slavery: unacceptable working and living conditions, pay without a minimum wage, inadequate access to healthcare and the violation of their basic freedoms and human rights.

Our call for a FAIR PICK was inspired by the documentary THE PICKERS and the people whose story it follows. Now we pick up where we left off in 2025 – sharing the new film THE UNSEEN with you from September 2026 to February 2027.

Impact of THE PICKERS Campaign

We're building on the success of our 2025 campaign that was using the film THE PICKERS. This documentary about migrant workers laid the foundation for a wider movement for systemic change, connecting public awareness with corporate engagement, worker-driven solutions, political advocacy, and practical action.
